Lexar sells several SSD families, and software bundles can vary by model and region. Check the exact product support page rather than assuming a free cloning license comes with every drive.
Read the label or product information to identify whether the Lexar SSD is SATA, M.2 SATA, or NVMe, and confirm that the PC and enclosure support it. Visit Lexar's official support page for a current migration-tool offer, supported products, and license terms. Avoid third-party pages advertising generic activation keys.
If no supported vendor tool is available, use a compatible general-purpose clone tool. The ability to download it does not prove the clone feature is free in the installed edition.
Back up important files to independent storage and save the BitLocker recovery key. Open Disk Management to identify the old Windows disk and its EFI or System Reserved, C:, recovery, and data partitions. Decide whether to move the whole disk or just the system.
The Lexar target must hold the planned layout and will be overwritten. A smaller destination needs supported resizing and enough usable space; sector-by-sector cloning normally requires full source capacity. If the old drive has read errors, protect files before attempting repeated clones.
After a successful clone, put the Lexar SSD in its intended internal slot. Disconnect the old boot drive for the first test when practical, select the Lexar Windows Boot Manager, and check activation, applications, files, and several restarts.
If firmware cannot see the SSD, verify the slot and protocol before changing software. Retain the original disk until you can boot and open important data from the new one.
Use this full-disk workflow when both drives are recognized. Example screenshot labels are not Lexar models; identify the real disks by model and capacity.
Step 1. Connect the destination by a compatible SATA or NVMe port or enclosure. Open Qiling Disk Master and choose Tools and utilities > Disk/Partition clone. Connect the Lexar target through a matching enclosure or port.

Step 2. Select the entire source disk row by model and capacity, not just its C: partition. Select the whole Windows source disk.

Step 3. Click Next, choose the destination disk by model and capacity, and click Next again. Existing target data will be overwritten. Select the Lexar SSD and protect any files already on it.

Step 4. Review both disk identities and the proposed layout. Click Proceed, confirm the erase warning, and wait without disconnecting either drive. Check boot partition inclusion and SSD optimization if offered.

Step 5. Test the target independently before erasing or reusing the source. Test independent boot and important files.
No. Check the current offer for the exact model and region.
A whole-disk clone creates the destination layout; preformatting is generally unnecessary.
Confirm current tool eligibility and hardware fit, then protect files and verify the new SSD before retiring the old drive.
