Samsung Magician now includes a Data Migration feature for supported Samsung SSDs. It is not a universal disk copier for every source, destination, or disk layout, so confirm the current model and feature requirements before starting.
Samsung's official Magician page describes Data Migration from an existing storage device to a supported Samsung SSD. Features can vary for OEM or non-Samsung drives. Its installation guide lists limits for source operating systems, OEM partitions, encryption, RAID, and particular target models; read the latest guide for your version.
Magician is also used for Samsung SSD health and firmware tasks. A benchmark or health scan is not the same as a clone, and firmware updates should be done only with a backup and the vendor's guidance.
Check the exact Samsung model, SATA or NVMe interface, target capacity, and source Windows layout. Back up important files and the target's existing contents. Save the BitLocker recovery key. If the source is encrypted or damaged, do not assume the vendor migration utility can process it.
If you need every data partition or a non-Samsung target, a compatible general disk clone or image-and-restore method may be more suitable. Compare actual feature support, not marketing phrases.
After migration, shut down and install the Samsung SSD in its intended internal slot. Disconnect the original Windows disk if practical and choose the new Windows Boot Manager. Check apps, data, activation, encryption, and several restarts.
If the new drive is larger, inspect unallocated space and recovery partition order before extending C:. Keep the source unchanged until the target boots and files open.
Use Qiling when a full compatible disk clone is needed and the installed edition supports it. These are Qiling screenshots, not Samsung Magician screens.
Step 1. Connect the destination by a compatible SATA or NVMe port or enclosure. Open Qiling Disk Master and choose Tools and utilities > Disk/Partition clone. Connect the Samsung target through the correct SATA or NVMe interface.

Step 2. Select the entire source disk row by model and capacity, not just its C: partition. Select the entire healthy Windows source disk.

Step 3. Click Next, choose the destination disk by model and capacity, and click Next again. Existing target data will be overwritten. Choose the Samsung SSD and confirm its data may be overwritten.

Step 4. Review both disk identities and the proposed layout. Click Proceed, confirm the erase warning, and wait without disconnecting either drive. Check all boot and wanted data partitions fit.

Step 5. Test the target independently before erasing or reusing the source. Boot from the Samsung SSD independently and verify files and apps.
No. Supported versions include Data Migration for eligible Samsung SSDs.
Do not assume so. Check the current Samsung installation guide and keep the recovery key.
Magician can migrate supported drives, but model and layout limits matter. Back up first and verify the new SSD independently.
