An SSD upgrade often improves an HDD-based Windows PC, especially startup and application load times. Whether it is worth doing depends on the machine's condition and the size of the replacement drive.

SSDs reduce storage latency and have no moving platters. They can make a usable older PC feel more responsive, but they will not resolve limited RAM, overheating, malware, or a weak CPU. Evaluate those problems separately.
The complete source HDD can be cloned to a compatible SSD. Confirm target capacity and data before clicking Proceed.
Step 1. Connect the new destination drive. In Qiling Disk Master open Tools and utilities and choose Disk/Partition clone. For a Windows boot-drive replacement, select the whole disk rather than just C:.

Step 2. Select the original disk as the source. Confirm its model, size, and partition map, including any boot and recovery partitions. Click Next.

Step 3. Select the replacement drive as the destination by model and capacity, then click Next. All data already on that destination can be overwritten.

Step 4. Review the direction and partition layout. Check that required partitions fit on the destination; enable Optimize for SSD if it is an SSD and the option is available. The illustrated preview shows the controls; check the full layout on your own PC.

Step 5. Click Proceed. Confirm the overwrite warning only after verifying the destination. Keep both drives connected while the progress screen runs; after completion, boot-test the new drive before erasing the original.

Use a full-disk clone if you want to keep Windows and apps. Include boot and recovery partitions, then preview the target layout. Alternatively, install Windows cleanly and restore files. A new PC or major hardware change may affect activation.
Boot from the SSD alone, open several applications, check available space, and keep the HDD intact while validating. If the PC is still slow, check memory and background activity.
Will an SSD improve gaming FPS? Usually it mainly improves loading; FPS depends on CPU and GPU.
Should I buy the same capacity? Choose based on actual used space plus room to grow; identical capacity is not mandatory.
Replacing the system HDD with an SSD often improves responsiveness, but capacity and the rest of the PC still matter. Plan the migration before purchase.
