Need a new partition on a GPT disk? First confirm the free space and disk number, then create the partition with DiskPart or use Qiling Disk Master for a clearer preview.

If the GPT disk has no unallocated space, create it first by shrinking an existing data partition. Qiling Disk Master shows the disk map before and after each operation, so you can confirm the layout before writing changes to the disk.
Open Qiling Disk Master and locate the GPT disk by disk number, capacity, and drive letters. Select a data partition with enough free space, such as D: or E:. Avoid shrinking EFI, MSR, Recovery, or other small system partitions.

Right-click the selected partition and choose Resize/Move. Drag the left or right edge inward, or enter the amount of space you want to leave unallocated. Keep enough free space inside the original partition for normal Windows use.

Check the preview and confirm that only the selected data partition will be shrunk. If the layout is correct, click Proceed and wait until the shrinking operation is complete.
After the partition is shrunk, select the newly created unallocated space on the GPT disk. Right-click it and choose Create to start creating a new partition.

Choose the partition size, drive letter, volume label, and file system. NTFS is recommended for Windows 10 storage, while exFAT is better for a removable drive shared with other devices. Confirm the settings, click Proceed, and then check the new partition in File Explorer.

Handle the visible symptom first, then protect data before any delete, format, resize, or clone action. If the disk layout is confusing, use a visual tool and confirm the target before you click Proceed.
