Reset a Samsung laptop without a password safely. Review Windows recovery options, Samsung recovery limits, and how to protect files first.

A reset can remove apps and may erase personal files depending on the option you choose. If the laptop still contains important documents, photos, or work files, recover or back them up before using Reset this PC or factory recovery.
Qiling tools give you a visual way to review the disk state, protect files, and confirm risky operations before Windows repair, formatting, resizing, or cloning changes are applied.
Step 1. Before resetting the Samsung laptop, remove the internal drive and connect it to another Windows PC if the laptop cannot sign in. If Windows still opens in Safe Mode or another account, install Qiling Deep Data Recovery there.
Step 2. Open Qiling Deep Data Recovery and choose Fast Scan for the Windows user folders or a deeper scan if files were deleted, the profile is damaged, or the reset process already started.

Step 3. Select the Samsung laptop drive, usually C drive or the user data partition, and start scanning before choosing Reset this PC or factory recovery.

Step 4. Preview Documents, Desktop, Pictures, Downloads, and other user folders. Search by file type if the original folder structure is damaged.
Step 5. Recover selected files to an external drive, not to the Samsung laptop drive being reset.

Step 6. After the recovered files open correctly on another computer, return to Samsung recovery or Windows Reset this PC and choose the reset option that fits your goal.
Start with the Windows checks that match your symptom, protect important data before formatting or repartitioning, and use the Qiling workflow when you need a clearer, safer way to repair the disk or move data.
