Clonezilla Live is a bootable disk imaging and cloning tool; it is not a Windows application you install and click while Windows is running. Its device names can be unfamiliar, so identifying source and destination by size and model is essential. Windows 7 is no longer supported by Microsoft. A successful clone does not remove that security risk or guarantee drivers will work on a different PC.
Step 1. Make a separate backup of irreplaceable data and download Clonezilla Live from its official site. Prepare bootable media according to Clonezilla's instructions.
Step 2. Connect the new disk, boot Clonezilla Live, select language and keyboard settings, then choose device-device for a direct disk-to-disk clone. Choose Beginner mode unless you understand the expert options.
Step 3. Select the source disk and target disk by capacity and device identity. Review the summary carefully; the target is overwritten. Confirm the prompts only after verifying their direction.
Step 4. Wait for completion, shut down, and boot from the new disk with the old one disconnected if practical. Check Windows startup and files. Extend the Windows partition later if a larger target has unallocated space.
Step 1. Connect both drives and open Tools and utilities > Disk/Partition clone. Choose the whole source disk when all partitions must move.

Step 2. Select the source by model and capacity and click Next. The example image highlights a data disk; select your actual source, which may be a different disk.

Step 3. Select the destination and click Next. Verify it a second time because its partitions and existing files will be overwritten.

Step 4. Review the complete source-to-target layout. Check all partitions, especially EFI and recovery partitions for a Windows boot disk. If the target is an SSD, choose SSD optimization when available and appropriate.
Step 5. Click Proceed, confirm the overwrite warning, and wait for completion. Verify copied files or boot the target independently before changing the source.
Clonezilla is a valid route when you can work from bootable media; Qiling offers a Windows-based alternative. In either case, preserve a separate backup and plan to leave unsupported Windows 7.
