However, we generally recommend against using factory images for upgrades, as it's a process that's better suited for advanced users who want to test Nougat before its release. Using factory images can be risky and may damage your device, so it's not recommended unless you're an experienced user with a backup created. Using OTA (Over The Air) update is much easier and less risky compared to factory image update. However, remember to backup all your contacts and data to a PC using a Qiling Android data recovery tool before proceeding, as the update process will install Android Nougat 7.0 on your device and wipe out the old Marshmallow. The step-by-step guide for updating from Android 6.0 to 7.0 is as follows.

Step 1. To view your phone's details, go to the Settings panel and scroll down to find the "About Phone" option, where you can see all the information about your device.
