Find what takes disk space in Windows 11. Use Storage settings, cleanup checks, and Qiling Disk Master to review partitions and free space.

Windows 11 Storage shows apps, temporary files, documents, pictures, and system categories. It is a good first check when the C drive is nearly full, but it does not always explain partition layout problems.
Qiling tools give you a visual way to review the disk state, protect files, and confirm risky operations before Windows repair, formatting, resizing, or cloning changes are applied.
Step 1. Start with Windows Storage to identify large file categories. Then open Qiling Disk Master to check whether the C drive is small because of the disk layout.

Step 2. Locate C drive, adjacent partitions, and any unallocated space. If free space is directly next to C drive, you can extend it more simply.
Step 3. If another partition blocks the free space, use Resize/Move to move the blocking partition only after backing up important data.

Step 4. Select C drive and extend it into adjacent unallocated space. Leave enough space on other partitions for their files.
Step 5. Preview the move and extend operations. The order should make free space adjacent first, then enlarge C drive.
Step 6. Click Proceed. Restart if required, then return to Windows Storage to confirm the C drive has more usable space.
Start with the Windows checks that match your symptom, protect important data before formatting or repartitioning, and use the Qiling workflow when you need a clearer, safer way to repair the disk or move data.
