Fix unallocated hard drive with CMD
Partition recovery from unallocated space may be necessary when a partition is deleted or lost due to accidental deletion, changes in the operating system, or malware infections. This can also occur when a new drive is installed, leading to unallocated disk space on the hard drive. In such cases, recovering data from the lost partition becomes a priority.
Case 1:
The 500 Seagate HDD, initially used as an external drive, had three partitions (A, B, and C) with partition A containing all the user's data. After installing Windows 7, partitions A and B merged into one unallocated space, causing the user's data to become inaccessible. The user needs to recover the unallocated partition to access their data.
Case 2:
You can try using free partition recovery software such as Deep Data Recovery Wizard, which allows you to scan and recover data from unallocated space without any cost. However, keep in mind that the effectiveness of the recovery process may depend on various factors, including the type and severity of the data loss. It's also worth noting that some free software may have limitations or restrictions compared to paid versions.
We will share a free utility to recover partitions from unallocated space - Qiling Partition Master.
