Use Windows 11 repair tools to fix startup, disk, partition, update, and file system errors. Back up first and repair safely with Qiling tools.

Windows 11 repair is not one single action. A startup failure may need Startup Repair or BCD repair, a RAW drive may need data recovery and formatting, and a full C drive may need cleanup or resizing.
Use Windows built-in tools for low-risk checks first: restart, unplug extra USB devices, open Windows Update history, run Startup Repair, and check disk health. If the drive contains important files, make a backup before using advanced repair commands.
If Windows 11 cannot start, do not format the disk first. Check the boot mode, disk connection, and boot files. Fix Boot and Rebuild MBR are different repair options. Most Windows 11 PCs use GPT and UEFI, so do not rebuild MBR unless the disk and firmware mode really match that method.
Step 1. Create or open bootable media, start the problem PC from it, and load Qiling Disk Master in the recovery environment.
Step 2. Select the Windows 11 disk. Check whether the disk uses GPT or MBR and whether the PC boots in UEFI or Legacy BIOS mode. For most Windows 11 installations, GPT plus UEFI means you should try Fix Boot first.
Step 1. Choose Fix Boot when Windows 11 is still on the disk, but Windows Boot Manager, BCD, or startup files may be damaged.

Step 2. Confirm that the selected disk is the Windows 11 system disk, then click Proceed. After the repair finishes, restart the PC and set Windows Boot Manager as the first boot option in UEFI firmware.

Step 1. Choose Rebuild MBR only when Windows 11 was installed on an MBR disk and the computer is configured to boot in Legacy BIOS mode. This is uncommon for standard Windows 11 installations.

Step 2. Select the proper MBR type, preview the operation, and click Proceed. Restart the PC, enter BIOS, and set the repaired disk as the first boot device.

Step 3. If Windows 11 still cannot boot, check Secure Boot, UEFI boot order, disk health, BCD entries, and system files. Rebuilding MBR cannot fix a missing EFI partition, a damaged Windows installation, or a disk that is not detected.
Should I repair Windows before backing up? If the disk is readable, back up first. Repair commands, formatting, resizing, and reset options can change data or boot records.
Can Windows built-in tools solve the issue? Often yes. Use Settings, Disk Management, Startup Repair, CHKDSK, SFC, or DISM first when the risk is low. Use Qiling tools when you need a clearer disk map, safer preview, or a full backup before changing the drive.
What should I avoid? Do not format a drive that still holds needed files, do not run clean commands on the wrong disk, and do not clone to a target disk that contains the only copy of important data.
A useful Windows 11 repair plan starts with diagnosis, then backup, and only then repair. If the disk layout or boot files are involved, preview every change before you click Proceed.
