• Select Custom and Network Options > Next 
• Select options - "I'll be using QuickBooks Desktop on this computer" or "I will NOT be using QuickBooks Desktop on this computer." Follow to complete the QuickBooks installation.

You can only access the company files if you have been given permission to access the specific folders.

Step 1.To access the File Explorer on a Server computer, right-click the Windows Start icon and select File Explorer.

Step 2.Right-click the folder containing your company files and select the "Properties" option from the context menu.

Step 3. Turn to the "Security" tab, click on the "Advanced" option. 

Step 4. Locate and choose the "QBDataServiceUserXX" folder.

Step 5. To set permissions, click on "Edit" and select "Set permissions" as "Allowed." If necessary, toggle the switch next to "Full Control" to "Allow." Then click on "Apply" and "OK" to confirm.

Phrase 4. Download QuickBooks Server Manager

Step 1. Close QuickBooks and other running programs.

Step 2.Install the QuickBooks Database Server Manager and run the "Setup_QuickBooks.exe" file.

To open the Windows search bar and find the QuickBooks Database Server Manager, simply press the Windows key + S on your keyboard, and type "QuickBooks Database Server Manager" in the search bar that appears.
