If you want to use an iPhone, iPad or iPod from Apple, you have to install the iTunes management software. The program ensures that the required drivers are installed. You can then sync songs, pictures, and videos via iTunes. So the first way to view files on iPad with computer or notebook is via iTunes.
Alternatively, you can also turn to other free iPad management software like Qiling MobiMover.
Step 1. Connect your iPhone/iPad to your computer with a USB cable, open Qiling MobiMover, click "Content Management" and choose the category you want to browse.
Step 2. After you choose the category, you can view all the items existing on your iPhone/iPad from your computer. According to your needs, you can choose to transfer files from PC to your iPhone/iPad, back up iPhone data to computer, sync content from one iOS device to another, or remove files from your device.
Step 3. For example, if you want to delete some unwanted files, just select the items and click "Delete", then tap on "Yes" to confirm your deletion.

You can click Transfer to This Device to transfer files from computer to iPad/iPhone; click Transfer to Other Device to export files from one iPhone to another; click Transfer to Computer to transfer files from iPhone/iPad to PC, or delete useless files and refresh to find available files.
