[Solution] How to Manage iPhone Factory Reset

Your iPhone no longer does what it's supposed to do? Problems that require a new installation of iOS are rare, but do happen. Do you want to get rid of your iPhone and make sure that all your data is really deleted? Here in this article we will show you 3 ways to manage iPhone factory reset. Resetting your iPhone to factory defaults deletes all data and settings from your iPhone.

Preparation: Back up your iPhone before the factory reset

Before you start, we must warn you that once your iPhone is reset to factory settings, you will probably lost all your content and settings. So it is highly recommended that you back up your iPhone first. A free iPhone data transfer software can help you transfer files from iPhone to PC as a way to back them up in a Windows computer, in case you lost all your content during the reset process.

Step 1. Run Qiling MobiMover and connect your device to the computer. Select the "Backup Manager" pattern in the main interface. Then, select "Backup" to continue.

Step 2. Qiling MobiMover will display all the iPhone files that are available for backing up. Just select all files by ticking the box next to the "Select All," and then click on "One-Click Backup" to proceed.

Step 3. Qiling MobiMover will start to back up iPhone files to your computer immediately. Don't suspend the USB connection while backing up.

Once you've made a backup, you can restore this backup to your device when you need it. But note that this will erase your device and get everything replaced by what's in the backup. If you do mind this, just try to use "Phone to PC" feature to back up your device instead.

After you've transferred all your iPhone content to a computer, you can go ahead and reset your iPhone to factory settings without any hesitation. Check the 3 methods below:

1. Reset factory settings of your iPhone in Settings

Reset the factory settings of your iPhone is the fastest and easiest way to do this. Specifically, the factory settings of the currently installed iOS version will be restored. All settings, apps and other data are removed.

To reset your iPhone to factory settings, open Settings > General. Scrolls all the way down and tap Reset. To restore the factory settings, select Delete All Contents and Settings. If you have activated a PIN code, enter it here.

Once the process is complete, you can set up your iPhone step by step and import the backup you have created previously.

2.Reset your iPhone to factory settings by restoring it with iTunes

A more far-reaching option is to restore your iPhone using iTunes. iOS is completely reinstalled using the procedure described here. This way is especially useful if your apps crash or freeze all the time.

3.Reset your iPhone to factory settings by restoring it from Recovery Mode

If your iPhone doesn't start up or the two options described above don't work properly, you can restore your iPhone from Recovery Mode. To do this, the iPhone must be switched off. If it can no longer be turned off in the normal way, hold down the Power and Home button for a few seconds until it turns off. Proceed as follows:

Once the iPhone is restored, you can set it up again and import a backup if necessary.
