Deleting music from an iPhone may not affect the iTunes library if the songs were synced from iTunes, but issues like system errors or problems can cause music to also disappear from the iTunes library.
Here are some solutions to fix it quickly.
You can easily and quickly delete music from your iPhone using Qiling MobiMover, a user-friendly iOS data manager. This tool allows you to selectively remove unwanted songs from your iPhone without affecting the songs stored in your iTunes library. In addition to music management, MobiMover also offers capabilities.
This tool doesn't support deleting purchased music, so other methods should be used to delete music purchased from Apple Music or iTunes.
Step 1.Connect your iPhone to your Mac or PC, launch Qiling MobiMover, and navigate to "Content Management" > "Audio" > "Music" to manage your iPhone music library.
Step 2.To add new music, click the "Music" tab, view all music on your iPhone or iPad, and then click the "Add Contents" button to add desired music from your Mac.
Step 3.Click the "Open" to start adding the music you wish to add.
To delete music directly, use the native Music app to remove unwanted songs, which won't delete the song from your iTunes library. This method allows deleting one song at a time, requiring repetition if deleting multiple songs.
Step 1. To delete a song on an iPhone, launch the Music app, find the song you want to delete, and select it.
Step 2. Tap "Remove" from the pop-up window.
iTunes allows you to delete music from your iPhone, but this action only removes the content from the device, not from the iTunes library. However, this method has two notable drawbacks.
If you want to avoid problems, it's better to use Qiling MobiMover to remove music, but if you still want to stick to iTunes, here are the steps.
Step 1. Connect your iPhone to the computer and launch the latest version of iTunes.
Step 2. To access your music library, tap the icon representing your device and then select "Music" from the menu on the left side of the screen.
Step 3. To remove music from your device, select the "Sync Music" option and then deselect the playlists and albums you want to remove from your device.
Step 4. Once you've chosen, click on the "Apply" button.
If you've deleted music from your iPhone but not iTunes, don't worry, it usually won't affect the music in your iTunes library. However, if problems occur, you might also remove music in the iTunes library. In such cases, you can apply the solutions mentioned above to easily remove music from your iPhone.
