The message may appear after a security update, TPM change, motherboard repair, profile issue, or system file damage. It does not always mean your files are lost.

If sign-in cannot be repaired and you must reset Windows, recover important files first with Qiling Deep Data Recovery when possible.
Step 1. Launch Deep Data Recovery. Select the file types you need and click Fast Scan to begin.

Step 2. Choose the Windows system drive or user partition that stores Desktop, Documents, Pictures, and other personal files.

Step 3. Preview the found files and select the folders you want to recover.

Step 4. Save recovered files to another healthy disk. After files are safe, reset the PIN, repair Windows, or reinstall if needed.
A broken Windows PIN is usually an authentication or system issue. Try password sign-in and PIN reset first, then protect files before reset or reinstall.
