Manually transfer Office 365 to new computer
To transfer Office 365 to your new computer, simply sign in to your Office account on the new computer using the same Microsoft account you used on your old computer. This will activate the Office 365 subscription on the new computer and you'll be able to access all the Office apps, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and more. If you need to reinstall Office, you can download the installation files from the Microsoft website using your Office account credentials. This way, you can keep using Office 365 on your new computer without any issues.
Transferring files from an old PC to a new one is relatively straightforward, but activating Office 365 on the new PC can be a bit more complicated. To simplify the process, we recommend using a third-party software like Qiling Disk Master, or manually moving programs to the new PC.
To ensure a smooth migration process, it's essential to note that all data will be deleted from the old server, and a new server will be created with the same specifications as the old one. This means that any data, files, or settings on the old server will be lost.
1.Check your Office 365 subscription type.
Office 365 offers three plans: personal, home, and business. The personal plan allows installation on one PC, while the home plan allows installation on up to five PCs.
If you're using the personal edition of Office 365, you'll need to transfer your license to a new computer.
2.Remember your product key.
After transferring Office 365 to a new computer, you'll need to enter the product key to activate it. This is a standard requirement for activating Office 365 on a new device.
You can transfer your Office 365 to a new computer using the Qiling Disk Master, which allows you to move the Microsoft app without installation, change Adobe install location, transfer files between PCs, and more.
Step 1. Run Qiling Disk Master on both PCs
On the source PC, select "File sync" on the main screen of Qiling Disk Master and proceed.
Step 3.Connect two computers
1. Connect to a target PC via its IP address or device name by selecting the PC and clicking "Connect".
2. Enter the login password of the target PC and click "OK" to confirm.
If you didn't see the target PC in the listed devices, you can also manually connect the target PC by adding it via its IP address or device name.
Step 4. Select apps, programs, and software and transfer to the target computer
1. You can choose what to transfer from the current computer to the target PC.
2. After choosing the desired apps and programs, click "Proceed" to initiate the transfer process.
Here are some suggestions to guide you to view the product key or you can use the "Product Key" feature of Qiling Disk Master.
1.Check your Microsoft Office Account.
2.Find your email address.
3.Find the product key in your Microsoft online store.
If you can't find your digital receipt or physical card, please try connecting to the online store to retrieve it.
To activate Office 365 on your new device, go to office.com/setup, sign in with your Microsoft account, and follow the prompts to complete the activation process.
If you have an Office 365 Home subscription, you don't need to transfer your license to a new computer. However, if you have a personal subscription, you'll need to uninstall Office from your old computer.
