Summary
You can recover data from an iPhone that's been damaged by water, is no longer responding, or was used irresponsibly, as long as you can still boot it up and unlock it. This guide is for those seeking solutions to recover data from their iPhone in such situations.
Your iPhone may be dead due to various reasons such as jailbreak failure, system crashes, or water damage, which can cause data loss. However, if you can boot up and unlock your device or had it previously "trusted" on a computer, you may still recover your lost data. If not, you can try retrieving part of your data from iCloud. For more information, check out our guide.
If you've trusted your device to a computer, you can recover data using a recovery tool or iTunes/iCloud, but using an iPhone recovery tool is more advisable. This is because recovery tools offer a more reliable and efficient way to get your data back from a dead iPhone, compared to relying on iTunes or iCloud.
A powerful recovery tool can do more than just restore a device to its previous state. For instance, Qiling MobiSaver, a professional iPhone recovery tool, can not only restore a device to its previous state but also recover data from the device directly or from iTunes/iCloud backup selectively, including various types of data such as photos, messages, videos, contacts, and more.
The software has many impressive features, including being safe and clean, easy to use, fast recovery speed, and a high success rate of recovery.

If you've synced your iPhone with your computer and established a trusted relationship, you can recover most data and settings from iTunes, but this will erase your existing iPhone data. Otherwise, use the method from Part 1.
Step 1. To connect a new iPhone or a newly erased iPhone to a computer and open iTunes, simply plug the iPhone into the computer using a USB cable, and then launch iTunes on the computer. This will allow the iPhone to be recognized by iTunes, and you can then proceed with the setup process.
Step 2. The device icon is at the top left of the iTunes screen. Clicking it will show you the devices that are currently connected to your iTunes account, including your iPhone.
Step 3. Click "Summary."
Step 4. To restore a backup in iTunes, click on the "Restore Backup..." button in the right pane of the iTunes window.
To recover lost data from your iCloud account, you can restore your iPhone from an available iCloud backup, but this will erase your device and replace it with the backed-up data, so make sure the backup includes the data you want to keep.
If you've known the prerequisites, it's time to follow the below steps to recover data from iCloud.
Step 1. Check if you've made an iCloud backup recently.
Step 2. To prepare a brand new iPhone or an existing iPhone with all data erased for use, follow these steps: erase all data from the iPhone by going to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings. This will completely wipe the device, restoring it to its factory settings. If you're unsure about how to erase data, this process will guide you through it.
Step 3. Restore data from iCloud.
If you've never trusted your computer before or your iPhone has been completely damaged, you're out of luck. In this case, you can only retrieve photos, contacts, calendars, and safari bookmarks from iCloud.com, but there are two prerequisites to use this method.
If everything goes smoothly, follow the steps below to recover your data from iCloud. Your data will be available in iCloud within 24 hours of your device being erased.
Step 1. Go toiCloud.comin any web browser.
Step 2. Click on"Settings."
