To prepare your old iPhone for sale, you'll need to erase all data from it to protect your privacy. Before doing so, make sure to back up all your data and make them accessible on your new iPhone. To wipe your iPhone safely and completely, follow these steps: [insert steps here].
Step 1: Open "Settings" App and go to "General".
Step 2: Choose "Reset".
Step 3: Tap on "Erase ALL Content and Settings" to completely wipe the iPhone. This will delete all data, settings, and apps.
Notes:
Before erasing your iPhone, ensure you've signed out of iCloud to avoid Activation Lock, which can prevent the device from being fully erased and may compromise your privacy if you plan to sell it.
There are two ways to sign out of iCloud.
If you're using an iPhone with iOS 10.2 or earlier, you can't use the built-in Health app to track your sleep. However, you can still use other features like tracking your steps, distance, and calories burned. To do this, go to the Settings app, tap on "Health," and then toggle on the "Motion Data" switch to enable the feature.
If you're using an iPhone with iOS 10.3 or later, you can use the built-in "Find My iPhone" feature to locate your device, remotely lock or erase it, and even play a sound to help you find it. To do this, sign in to iCloud.com on a computer or another iOS device with your Apple ID and password.
