Transfer MS Office from the Old Computer to the New Computer


You can transfer Microsoft Office from your old computer to your new one with Windows 10 using the Microsoft Transfer Tool, which is available for free download. How to Transfer MS Office to the New Computer via Backup Files

Step 1. Create a backup file of Microsoft on the flash drive.

1. Download and install Qiling Disk Master on both PCs, then connect the USB flash drive to the source PC. Launch Qiling Disk Master on the source computer and go to "Backup & Restore" > "Start".

2. Hover on "Data Backup" and choose "Next".

3. To save a backup of your desired applications on your USB flash drive, set the backup file name according to your preference and click "Confirm" to save the backup file. Then, hover over "Applications" and select the specific applications you want to transfer, such as Microsoft Office, and click "Back up" to initiate the backup process.

Step 2. Restore the backup file on the new PC.

1. Connect a USB flash drive containing the backup file to the new PC, then launch Qiling Disk Master and navigate to "Backup & Restore" > "Start" to initiate the restoration process.

2. Hover on "Data Restore" and move to next step.

3. To restore a backup file, hover on the backup file you just created and click "Restore". If the backup file is not visible, click "Browse" to locate and select the backup file.

4. To install Microsoft Office on a new PC, go to the "Applications" section, select Microsoft Office, and choose "Finish". Then, click "Restore" to initiate the recovery process. Once completed, you can verify and utilize Microsoft Office on your new PC.

Step 3. Get the product key to activate Office.

1. Click "Product Key" and choose "Scan".

2. Move to Office line and click "Copy".

How to Transfer MS Office to the New Computer via a Network 

Step 1. Launch Qiling Disk Master and select the transfer mode.

Step 2. Choose the transfer direction.

"Old" - Move Office from current old computer to another new one.

"New" - Transfer Office from old device to current new device.

Step 3. Connect the source PC and the target PC.

Step 4. Select Office to transfer.

Step 5. Save the product key to activate Microsoft Office.

How to Activate the Transferred Version of MS Office

To transfer MS Office to a new computer, you'll need to deactivate it on the old computer, possibly by uninstalling it, and then activate it on the new computer using the license key. If you have a FPP (Full Packaged Product) license, which is the type for boxed, retail versions, you can transfer it to another computer without needing the key. This is in contrast to OEM and MLK licenses, which have different requirements.
