How to Format the Write Protected Flash Drive


Your flash drive is write-protected due to a registry issue. To resolve this, you can try the following: Open the registry editor and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies. Change the value of WriteProtect from 1 to 0. Then, restart your computer and try formatting the flash drive again.
