Applies To: iPhone and iPad in iOS 11
Syncing iPhone contacts to iCloud makes it easy to share them across devices and creates a backup, protecting against data loss, with a simple process.
While the advantage of using iCloud is that it can automatically sync your iPhone contacts, a disadvantage is that you may encounter problems like iPhone contacts not syncing to iCloud, which some users have experienced. To mitigate this, you can also back up your iPhone contacts to your PC as an alternative way to move them elsewhere.
How to Get into a Locked iPhone
If you're having trouble remembering your iPhone passcode, don't worry, it's an easy fix. First, try tapping "Forgot Passcode" on the lock screen. If that doesn't work, you can try using the "Erase iPhone" option, which will restore your device to its factory settings.
To transfer your iPhone contacts to iCloud, ensure your iPhone is connected to Wi-Fi and that your contacts are backed up to iCloud. Go to Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > iCloud Backup and turn on iCloud Backup and Contacts.
To back up iPhone contacts to iCloud, follow these steps: First, go to Settings on your iPhone and tap on your name at the top, then tap on "iCloud" and make sure "Contacts" is turned on. Next, go to Settings and tap on "Passwords & Accounts" and tap on "iCloud" again.
Step 1: Open Settings App on your iPhone in iOS 11.
Step 2: Tap on [your name] > iCloud.
Step 3: To merge iPhone contacts with iCloud contacts, go to Settings, then tap on Contacts, and select Merge to combine all existing iPhone contacts with the contacts saved in iCloud.
You can move your iPhone contacts to iCloud in just a few minutes by following these simple steps. Once your contacts are saved in iCloud, you can access and view them online or sync them back to your iDevice by downloading them. This allows you to access your contacts from anywhere and sync them across all your devices.
If iCloud isn't working and you still want to back up your iPhone contacts, you can use Qiling MobiMover, a software that transfers iOS data and manages files, to transfer your contacts to your PC. With MobiMover installed on your Windows 7 or later PC, you can easily transfer files between your iPhone/iPad (in iOS 8 or later) or between your iOS device and computer.
