iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are brand new smartphone models. Generally, all the reviews give high points to the new products of iPhone, Apple also officially said that iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are the best of iPhone ever. But, iPhone always gets hot and overheating no matter which iPhone you're using.

Reason 1. iPhone has been used overtime

This is the most common factor of iPhone gets hot. Just like any other electronic device, prolonged usage will definitely cause overheating. iPhone 7 is a smartphone, it runs on a CPU. When you are using a computer for a really long time continually, it will be overheating. iPhone gets overheating in the same condition.

Solution: If your iPhone gets hot after a long time usage, it's normal, you don't need to be worried. Put it down and let it have a rest for ten minutes. The iPhone will be recovered by itself from overheating. And try to free up the spaces on iPhone, it will help iPhone to cool down and also make iPhone faster.

Reason 2. There are problems with the software or apps you are using

Even though it's a new iPhone, you must have already installed lots of apps. The running speed of software and apps usually can be decided by the RAM. While iPhone 7 has 2 GB RAM and iPhone 7 Plus has 3 GB RAM, if you launch too many software and apps at the same time, these spaces will be full easily and it will approach the maxim of CPU processing ability. Once the CPU or RAM runs a hundred percent, your iPhone will get overheating like a bomb.

Solution: Do not open too many software and apps at the same time, close those apps that you don't need for now. And, it is highly possible that one or few of your apps are misbehaving. Go to Settings>Battery, find out which is the trouble maker, then delete these iPhone apps. This will also save the battery on your iPhone 7.

Reason 3. There is a problem with the hardware on your iPhone 7

This is the rarest reason of iPhone overheating. But if you are using iPhone in a reasonable duration, and there is not any software or apps causing trouble, your iPhone still gets hot just lay down there, your iPhone is in trouble because of hardware problem.
